A secondary nameserver (alternatively spelled, secondary name server; also known as slave nameserver, child nameserver, secondary domain server or, simply, secondary server; hereinafter, the Server) is any authoritative nameserver that is responsible for a particular DNS zone while obtaining DNS records from the primary nameserver.
