The United States Department of State (alternatively known as U.S. Department of State, US Department of State, and spelled United States Department Of State; also known by its acronym USDOS, US DOS, or, simply, DOS; hereinafter, DOS) is the department of the United States Federal Government responsible for the execution of its foreign policies.
