Web search engine (also incorrectly called Internet search engine) is a search engine that is designed to query the World Wide Web, search engines are software applications designed to search for particular information specified in a textual search query.

Search engines. Is a database of many web pages and 'ranks' the results of a search term according to predetermined algorithms.
