Self-education (alternatively known as autodidacticism, autodidactism, self-learning, self-directed learning, and self-teaching) is education without the guidance of masters (such as teachers and professors) or educational institutions.
A self-learner takes the initiative and responsibility to learn. He or she chooses the subject of study, learning tools, and educational format. generally speaking, Self-education may be pursued at any time, in any place, through any means, and at any age.
