Filtering is a sender's deliberate manipulation of information to make it appear more favorable or be seen more favorably by the receiver.
Definitions
According to Organizational Behavior by Robbins and Judge (17th edition),
- Filtering. A sender's manipulation of information so that it will be seen more favorably by the receiver.
