A data center (also known by its acronym, DC) is either:
- The premises such as a building or another physical location where the computing devices of one or more organizations are housed, or
- The organization itself who takes care of these computing devices.
DC vary in their storage capacity. The clients usually access their devices through some shell, primarily, SSH.
