Deployment is the process or process result of putting something or someone into use.
Definitions
According to Juran's Quality Handbook by Defeo (7th edition),
- Deployment. In the context of strategy, the means of subdividing the goals and allocating the subgoals to lower levels.
According to the ITIL Foundation 4e by Axelos,
- Deployment. The movement of any service component into any environment.
