Deployment is the process or process result of putting something or someone into use. In enterprises, deployment is introduction of a new activity, operation, policy, procedure, program, or resource to an enterprise.

A deployment plan is a schedule of some deployment. A deployment model is a way of deploying. A deployment level is a level of one's deployment.


Definitions

According to Juran's Quality Handbook by Defeo (7th edition),

Deployment. In the context of strategy, the means of subdividing the goals and allocating the subgoals to lower levels.
