Quadrivium (plural -- quadrivia) is a set of four lectures widely used in Septem Artes Administrativi. In Ancient Rome and Middle Ages, the quadrivium stood for a set of four upper courses in septem artes liberalis.


Name

In Latin, quadro stands for four, via stands for road or way, and -um is the ending of the singular noun.
