Trial balance
Trial balance (hereinafter, the Balance) is a list of the ending balances of all the accounts in a ledger. The total of the debits should equal the total of the credits. Alternatively, trial balance can be defined as an informal listing of the ledger accounts and their balances in the ledger to aid in providing the equality of debits and credits.
