Requirements

Kevin, I moved many parts on the page. Now:

  • "Have humble background", "Time conscious", "Consistent at work" -- why is that? Those guys don't drop from schools :)
  • In Kenya, most people from well off back grounds find it easy to get employment, education while living a good life.
  • Time concious and consistent people are the ones who are focused in life, yes they don`t drop out of school but there are those

who despite their desire to continue with education in order to make a life for themselves are forced out by the circumstances, e.g tuition fee, parent`s are not able to provide and so they are forced to look for manual labor to care for the younger ones or even provide for the entire family. This brings me to another concern that I have had for a while, Owning a computer in Kenya is a luxury leave alone access to the internet and in most cases the well off are the able to afford leaving us with the question where does this leave that person that is so targeted to benefit from this project?

  • "Available for 20+ hours in a week" -- no, just full-time if we want to get the results faster.
  • I agree

I also don't know what to do with these:

Communication

  • Facebook page
  • Campus messaging and notifications.
  • Website.
  • CNM Wiki.
  • These are meant to be means of Communicating to aspirants of the project.

How to increase effectiveness of the Pipeline

  • Ultimate penalty of disqualification to candidates who do not follow instructions.
  • Set exams that require applicants to read deeply and understand the program and what is required of them.
  • Closely monitor performance and availability of each applicant.
  • Increase standards to be met by applicants in terms of tasks issued and time spent to accomplish the tasks.

But I definitely know that I don't want to "penalize". For what reason? If some participant has found another job while being in program, let say, it is our success story, not a reason for a penalty.
