Ladies and Gentlemen ... Greetings from the CNM IT Taskforce ... Significant developments on several initiatives ... Please review thoroughly and, as always, if more is needed just let us know and we'll shift fires accordingly ...

This newsletter continues introducing potential services that we together can develop for CNM patrons based on software that our team has already designed, developed, deployed, and is currently testing, operating, and improving. Three previous messages touched CNM Videos at video.friendsofcnm.org, CNM Mails, CNM Certs, CNM Labs, and CNM Wikis.

CNM Ventures

The Labs features the bundle of services designed to support digital developments. This bundle includes our own project management system, private knowledge base, currently outsourced storage for digital assets, and system for control of versions of developed assets such as images, videos, and software packages.

Locally, we are using this service to obtain assets from our vendors. We may also use the storage for some end-user tools, so you can possibly utilize this service, for instance, to download office suites at no cost.

CNM Talks

When you go to wiki.friendsofcnm.org, you get to the site of the so-far most developed service of CNM Digital. It looks like Wikipedia because both use the same software under their hoods, but CNM Wikis is not designed as an encyclopedia at the first place.

Basically, CNM Labs and CNM Wikis are both development hubs. However, CNM Labs is private, while CNM Wikis is open to the general public 24/7. All together, they serve similar purposes, but at different stages of digital development. The initial requirements are supposed to be posted at CNM Wikis and can be viewed by anyone who would like to utilize our business opportunities. Nevertheless, when the contracts are awarded, vendors submit the private details through CNM Labs.

At the same time, wiki is wiki; CNM Wikis is already fortunate to host more than 3,000 pages related to technologies, careers, and soft skills available to you. Together, we can edit/customize the existing ones and develop new ones.

Taskforce meetings

Two meetings have occurred so far. More than a dozen people expressed their interest, but we clearly need to develop a better structure for the interested to get on the board. No new announcements are posted, but I am committed to hosting those meetings at CNM on Tuesday evenings until the structure is developed.

How to get started

Here are several options for how to get started:

 1. If you don't have motivation, ability, and/or availability to help with development, just stay tuned and get back when the services are partially or fully up and running;
 2. We may invite you to serve in our CNM IT Office when you have a description of your desired role. Please reply to this email and attach it. Our technology even in the current state is large enough to accommodate a wide range of needs from cyber-security to UX. When you submit your desired job description, we will go over it, identify the parts that we can accommodate and schedule a meeting to plug you in. If you don't know what a job description is and/or are not able to formulate your role, you cannot be a part of the CNM IT Office at the moment -- please consider other options;
 3. If you don't have any particular role in mind, but are interested in working on a particular service or a particular technology behind some service, you are welcome to join our CNM IT Taskforce. Please reply to this email and inform me of your decision. The most complete information on the services to be designed is located at wiki.friendsofcnm.org/en/CNM_Digital and related wikipages. The most complete information on software to be designed is located at wiki.friendsofcnm.org/en/CNM_Cloud and related wikipages. Please ask me when you have researched the existing documents and have questions about particular services and/or technologies. If you don't know what particular means and are not able to formulate specific questions, you cannot be a part of the CNM IT Taskforce at the moment -- please consider other options. If your questions are specific and/or decision is clear, some member of our team will reply to your message.

Blessings, peace, thanks! --Gary, Natly, Romanof, and Paul at CNM Digital Services
