Frontline manager (or first-line manager) is a manager at the lowest levels of the organizational structure who manage the work of nonmanagerial employees.
Definition
According to Management by Robbins and Coulter (14th edition),
- Middle manager. A manager between the lowest and upper levels of the organizational structure who manage the work of frontline managers.
