Workteam (or, alternatively spelled, work team) is a group whose individual efforts result in performance that is greater than the sum of the individual inputs.
Definitions
According to Organizational Behavior by Robbins and Judge (17th edition),
- Work team. A group whose individual efforts result in performance that is greater than the sum of the individual inputs.
According to Management by Robbins and Coulter (14th edition),
- Workteam. A group whose members work intensely on a specific, common goal using their positive synergy, individual and mutual accountability, and complementary skills.
