Distribution channel is the set of all the firms and individuals that take title, or assist in transferring title, to a particular product or service as it moves from the producer to the customer.

According to Product Manager's Handbook by Gorchels (2nd edition),
- Distribution channel. The set of all the firms and individuals that take title, or assist in transferring title, to a particular product or service as it moves from the producer to the customer.
