Labor organization

Labor organization (hereinafter, the Organization) is any employee committee or other organization of any kind in which employees deal with employers concerning grievances, labor disputes, wages, hours, or working conditions. The Organization is defined in the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). To be registered with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the Organization must meet specified criteria.


Definitions

According to Sec. 2. [§ 152] of the National Labor Relations Act,

Labor organization. Any organization of any kind, or any agency or employee representation committee or plan, in which employees participate and which exists for the purpose, in whole or in part, of dealing with employers concerning grievances, labor disputes, wages, rates of pay, hours of employment, or conditions of work.
