Release management practice (hereinafter, the Practice) is the practice to make new and changed services and features available for use. The Practice relates to release and service management. This Practice is a part of the ITIL practices.

According to the ITIL Foundation 4e by Axelos,

Release management practice. The practice of making new and changed services and features available for use.

Purpose

The purpose of the release management practice is to make new and changed services and features available for use.
