An organization is a legal entity, composed of one or more people, that functions on a relatively continuous basis to achieve a common goal or set of goals. To do so, organizations assign responsibilities, authorities, and relationships.

Organization. A consciously coordinated social unit, composed of two or more people, that functions on a relatively continuous basis to achieve a common goal or set of goals.

According to Management by Robbins and Coulter (14th edition),

Organization. A deliberate arrangement of people to accomplish some specific purpose.

According to Marketing Management by Keller and Kotler (15th edition),

Organization. A company's structures, policies, and corporate culture.

According to Juran's Quality Handbook by Defeo (7th edition),

Organization. Group of people and facilities with an arrangement of responsibilities, authorities, and relationships.

According to the BABOK Guide (3rd edition),

Organization. An autonomous group of people under the management of a single individual or board, that works towards common goals and objectives.

According to Looking Out, Looking In by Adler, Proctor (15th edition),

Organization. The second stage in the perception process in which selected information is arranged in some meaningful way.

According to the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook (4th edition),

Organization. Person or a group of people and facilities with an arrangement of responsibilities, authorities, and relationships (adapted from ISO 9001:2008).

According to the ITIL Foundation 4e by Axelos,

Organization. A person or a group of people that has its own functions with responsibilities, authorities, and relationships to achieve its objectives.
