The International Visitor Leadership Program (also known by its acronym, IVLP) is a professional exchange program that is funded and overseen by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State. United States embassies nominate the participants from different countries, who are brought to the United States for programs that commonly last for three weeks. The participants visit various regions of the country usually starting with Washington, DC, where the international visitors stay the longest time, for 5-6 days.
