Best practice

A best practice (hereinafter, the Practice) is the practice that has been proven to be successful by multiple organizations. Benchmarking is the process to manage the Practices.

According to the ITIL Foundation 4e by Axelos,
- Best practice. A way of working that has been proven to be successful by multiple organizations.
According to the HRBoK Guide,
- Best practices. Techniques or activities that give the best results. The methods, processes, or activities that have proven to produce outstanding results for organizations' opportunities.
According to the Strategic Management by Parnell (4th edition),
- Best Practices. Processes or activities that have been successful in other firms.
