Nonexempt are employees who are subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and thus must be paid time and a half their normal rate of pay when they work more than 40 hours per week.

Nonexempt. Employees who are subject to the overtime provisions of the FLSA and thus must be paid time and a half their normal rate of pay when they work more than 40 hours per week.
