Social norm

A social norm (or, simply, a norm) is an acceptable standard of behavior within a group that is shared by the group's members. A set of those standards is known as norms.

Norm. An acceptable standard of behavior within a group that is shared by the group's members.

According to Management by Robbins and Coulter (14th edition),

Norm. A standard or expectation that is accepted and shared by a group's members.
