WorldOpp project
I have described WorldOpp as a non- profit initiative managed by friends of CNM that seeks to elevate virtual or physical environment for the care, protection and growth of those aspiring entrepreneurs who would wish to become WorldOpp friends. The initiative welcomes all classes of people who are interested to join.
In Kenya, the initiative will focus on: 1). Education: In this sector, the initiative seeks to train learners based on 1. a)Conceptual instructions which will see lectures orienting learners on career orientation and WorlOpp placement seminars. Further it will open up for self-directed learning which will require learners to explore the related concepts on their own using any sources available to them. 1. b) Practical Instructions will focus on hands on training , formative assessment and demonstrating. It will further enlighten learners on practical research. 1. c) Active learning which will focus on project based learning, exploratory research and observation. Further it will open up for discussions to give room for other new sustainable ideas. 2. Projects. The projects will be on two levels thus Non-profit and For profit 2. a). Non-profit: This project will see learners working on non-profit projects for purposes of gaining practical experience and will not receive any salary. Examples of the work expected for learners includes, development of CNM wiki, videos for any free courses among others. 2. b). For profit : This will see learners working on stipends and internships. The monetary amount for specific position is subject for applicable laws. The amount shall be defined once a week based on the previous week’s performance. This is our basic description for the beginning of WorldOpp initiative in Kenya. Am yet to speak again as we progress. Kindly calling for friends to join us in scaling up the heights of WorldOpp initiative in Kenya. Thanks.
Gary Ihar: I have no interest in any non-profit initiative in Kenya at the moment. How are you going to "scale up" what doesn't exist? Your idea sounds insane. What worries me is the fact that I have expressed that logic several times already.
