What Career Is (hereinafter, the Lectio) is the second lesson part of the Career Essentials lesson that introduces its participants to careers and related topics.

Script

Career is an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life and with opportunities for progress.
Why do people pursue one or another career? Some do so because their vocation, which is a strong feeling called "calling" of suitability for a particular career or occupation.
When you and other workers look for obtaining money while working, career is a type of business. Businesses make profits and/or obtain other gains.
The Business Model Canvas attempts to outline the structure various businesses. Let's project its building blocks to your business.
Your value proposition should be the match between what you propose to your potential employer and the value that this employer sees in your proposal.
Either working for an employer or looking for a job, you do some key activities, which require key resources and key partnerships. Those activities, resources, and partnerships result in your costs.
To get revenue streams, you should target customer segments, which can be your current and potential employers. You should stay in touch with your sources of revenue streams through your customer relationships and, to keep them, you should build and maintain some channels.
