#Structured mentorship programS to be developed, volunteers from the Church to undertake this endeavor on our platform offering these services online. For instance, all the volunteered services offered at the Church or where people meet to offered this service to CNM would be found at CNM Social E.g. Career advisors, teaching people how to look for jobs, people are taught how to write resumes, entrepreneurship program for people who want to start a new business, student coaching, career transition coaching for those who want to transition from one career to another etc. all these services and more would be found at CNM Social. Most of all person to person coaching; i.e. just like at the services offered at CNM, an individual may get connected to a personal coach who would assist the unemployed look for jobs, train them on resume writing, have a look at the student’s resume and offer assistance where necessary, provide entrepreneurial advice for those who would like to stats a new business etc.

===Introduction===
 +
:Hello everyone my name is Gary and we are in the office hour with Kevin discussing about the CNM social page specifically the video space that we are about to develop.
 +

 +
===Talk CNMCyber: CNM Tube===
 +
:We discussed that we want to create a specialty space for those interested in video streaming and sharing. I called it Video-Sharing user space. Right now, we call it Tube but it is not really Tube is more like a service so it should be proper since we're not sure that we will be using Avideo maybe we will move to another software so for now Video User Space makes sense. This will be a similar user space as we do like for Jitsi users, Proxmox users, LDAP users, and Media Wiki users. So here, in this space all news related to our Jitsi should emerge this is the primary Space where let's say for video sharing all the news yeah what is going on CNM Tube should emerge.  Let's make a Wiki page, unless it's already created, let us call it CNM Video-Sharing users, sounds good to me and we can rename it later when we have kind of a real name. Does it look right CNM videos sharing users okay looks good to me.
 +
:The idea is to have like a single point of contact for everyone so let's say I'm interested in video sharing right I want to see what is going on I want to be updated about the news I want to get notified where related events will show up, right? If we have a Technology meeting or a debate between different video-sharing software packages, this should be a single point of contact for everyone interested.
 +
:So, the CNM Video-Sharing User page should be like Updates on developments and should be Useful links, pretty much that's it, if you're interested in that, go there. There also should be event announcements. If 'm interested in video-sharing software, I probably want to get some updates either as newsletters or maybe I just can go there and view what is going on in this group and I also want kind of event announcements.

===Proxmox Meeting with Natalia===
 +
:I just talked to Natalia before this meeting and we thought, what do we do with our Proxmox? We decided that want to work with Muhammad but we have questions for instance our questions right now are what story should we deploy, we deploy the Ceph as it was before, or Natalia deploy the Ceph first or we need to use another storage and the second question is should Ceph be deployed? If there are two major deployment models, we can have 3 half-a-terabytes which all three will be will be synchronized or we can have all of them combined to have 1.5 terabytes of storage. Which model of deployment to use? we don't know, we ask Mohammed but Mohammed is not engaging. Muhammed is really good when he has requirements right but deciding what needs to be built is the problem for now. We plan to start moving kind of moving rocks there, we want to create the space, invite different experts, and give credentials so they can go there and provide us with their expert opinion on what we need to do and then we make a decision on our board. The same thing should go there. With this video-sharing, we have many questions about what software to deploy. How to deploy? What resources to put in there? We already stated with you on CNMTube.
 +

 +
===Video Streaming and Sharing===
 +
:We will keep Jitsi most likely, I had a discussion with Muhammed, he was for BigBlueButton but we used BigBlueButton before Jitsi and we didn't like it at that time but it was six years ago. We didn't like that it didn't work well on the mobile devices. Plus Jitsi is really good with this browser (Google Chrome) so for instance right now I don't have any clients on my laptop and I'm talking to you don't have to download it, it's a cool feature, very convenient for many participants. At that time, we went with Jitsi. Big Blue Button has its advantages it integrates better with many different programs, especially learning management systems but it also seems to consume more resources. When we have enough coordinators, we will deploy Jitsi and Big Blue Button and use both and compare them to decide what works best for us.
 +
:Jitsi is separate, Avideo and all others to be for video sharing Jitsi allows for streaming, and recording but doesn't allow storing and sharing. For video platforms, Jitsi will be a part of it whether OBS Studio should be a part of it or whether Avideo or something else is a question mark.
 +

 +
===[[CNMCyber.com]] Space===
 +
:This social space for video sharing it should be a point of contact with people who want to be our contractors or experts when we post it. We post as soon as we fix our Proxmox issue, it can take time but we will send all our updates, conduct meetings like the state of video sharing at CNM, post events, and have links to the scripts and so on and so forth.
 +
:From office hours I tried to convey today after our discussion, new requirements should be defined, it's not just for me to talk or how it should be but it's also the documentation to be updated.
 +

 +
: '''Kevin''': I remember when we were hiring a contractor for Media Wiki on Upwork and after the contract was issued, I couldn't view the progress being made, will this space solve this challenge?
 +

 +
:'''Gary''': Yes, absolutely, there are two different schools of thought, I’m not sure which one is the best. We have Gitlab, the last time we used it with Carolina. Gitlab it's a real development tool because Media Wiki or Social is more for normal people but for people in IT, Gitlab will be even better. It is a repository that allows for some project management but is limited. If we find the solution Gitlab with something else, Gitlab has many Integrations.
 +

 +
:The coordinator on our Tech project should have access to our Tech space on Gitlab and see all the details, credentials, all updates, kind of front-row seat view on this and then this coordinator should take red meat stuff take out all passwords, security credentials and non-public things and share with the community through the Social say we have this problem or we have this development. This will be a perfect world experience for the coordinator and I will be happy but Gitlab for now is probably too much we can use Social.
 +

 +
:'''Kevin''': How do you envision will the updates will be posted on Social from the contractor side?
 +

 +
:'''Gary''': Our discussion can occur on Social instead of Upwork or any other. Currently, we use Upwork but it's not the only place where we want to recruit. I had a good account on Fiverr, it's a British resource and people hire freelancers and pay per hour. I haven't accessed it for a few years but I used Fiverr a lot. I was very active on the Russian language platforms but right now because of this war, we're getting rid of the Russian language. I'm sure that there are some resources in Kenya and we discuss it with you too. With resources, it's not correct to have discussions or communicate with the freelancer on the platform. Upwork allows for you to be an assistant recruiter but it doesn't allow the next level might be like a director. They didn't give enough roles in my view and we cannot give everyone rights or permissions to manage accounts. Some platforms even do not have the level of an assistant recruiter. I have positive experience and I have negative experience. For instance, with the MeetUp I met one lady a cool organizer it was for the global DC Meetup Group and this lady switched the group to a closed group and they don't allow me to go backward. I disagreed, I didn't like this decision but I can't go back. After this, I decided no more co-organizers ever. it will be different if we have Social. We can have a discussion and update there. Initially, this group can be a closed group and then when we finish the discussion, we can open the space to the public.
 +

 +
:Taking an example of our Media Wiki, if we had like 15 Freelancers you communicated to them, they kind of go there but we don't have their contacts right, tomorrow we'll close this posting and they'll be lost either you need to write like all 15 right and this is your work time technically it's kind of someone's money too. Sometime back there was this lady from India who said I have no details, my only detail is that if we awarded the contract, we will research existing solution and if we don't find an existing solution, we will write a custom one right, it's close what she said, I'm paraphrasing. She might do this we don't know but for now, we had the discussion. Instead of this, we can say, if you are interested in this project or Updates this is our space about it and you can see all the updates on this contract, it will be several contracts and you can plug in if you're interested. We send to 15 people let's say 14 will never show up one will express interest.
 +

 +
:'''Kevin''': For a close group, let's say we have several contractors who are interested in the same project, will they be able to view the conversation that we have with each contractor?
 +

 +
:'''Gary''': But this is good if they see what they say. We will not discuss their money, we will not send their credentials, why not? Let them see what the discussion is. I don't see any problem with that the commercial the Secret I would say is how much money but they can estimate because their Upwork shows you the average but it is not exact. So, money or credentials are not public, the rest is okay why not? we will save our time by the way instead of repeating the same thing a couple of times, we can do it once on Social. Imagine this way you want to be you want to be a contractor I can upload on Upwork our conversation, you applied right you applied and now you are waiting for my response. What if you apply and within like six hours you get an email or message “Thank you for your application we are reviewing your application, if you want to see all updates this is the space”. We will post everything about all the interviews who we are interviewing what the stage is and you can see all the updates basically what is going on. How great is that? Instead of sitting and waiting asking yourself what is going on what will happen and this is our feature, our initiative. We want people to learn we need someone to work on our Media Wiki or Jitsi but also, we want you to learn how to work with the contractors and how to do this so why should we really make everything private? It should be public because someone else can take a look and see how it went down. I will record everything during the interviews and if someone doesn't like interviews okay bye-bye. why we interview you? We need tech Solutions but also we have our training so needs we need to combine both.
 +

 +
:I understand money and security some credentials collect password logins and you cannot share them in the public space maybe names too, right? But possibly, in our closed space, we can say we will call this contractor this name Contractor A or Contractor B. In our email, we'll say thank you for your application we are in the process of reviewing let's say updates we will publish on our social space we abbreviated or we coded your name as …
 +

 +
:Another disconnect we have this technology board meeting for instance and if you're interested in Jitsi or Tube streaming, maybe it's useful to hear what the discussion is. The whole meeting straight forward like the Technology Board meeting from A to B right all the time. What if we have this one big video of the whole meeting and then we will create just the topics like this is a discussion on the state of CNM JIsti. It will be very useful say you applied you are waiting for the decision. You can see what the discussion is or what the needs are. Right now we have like a kind of a smartness test we'll tell you in five minutes and we expect you to reply and show that you are smart.
 +

 +
===Q&As===
 +
:'''Kevin''': How do you envision the layout of this page and the topics that will be discussed on the Social Space?
 +

 +
:'''Gary''': You need to do some research about the layout. There are many user groups, I was very active with one. Normally this is the place for people whose area of expertise for instance this particular software if we talk about software user groups. For them, they will have something that's related to their profession, let's say some news, conferences, and new features. They usually have kind of some Report, say I tried these I succeeded in that this is how I did it, they have speakers they have some presentations usually the company for instance, with Microsoft user groups they could give us space we met in Microsoft offices. For some groups, we did not have any relationship and were more independent and vice versa.  We can we can reach out too so if we have a good group let's say on Jitsi we can contact them and say we have this initiative we have a group or people who are interested in Jitsi and are using JItsi, could you come to speak with us. We can make some volunteer speakers there. For a normal User Group, we'll also have some recruiters or someone who is interested in hiring people so they can go there, I'm not sure whether we will grow that much or not. What layout will be appropriate for us all do some research on what would be appropriate for us.
 +

 +
:'''Kevin''': Can you mention something about the newsletters that we are yet to develop on Social.
 +

 +
:'''Gary''': I’m not sure about sending using social, we can use social for distribution and it will be integrated to social yes. People are different and they have different needs and different specifics, right? Some like newsletters some don't. When I mentioned newsletters, I mostly thought about This Week events.  So, this week events emerge from our newsletters, right? I posted some of them Friends Of CNM newsletter so that is a kind of a prototype for This Week event it was before this week event and you may remember this because you were getting similar newsletters somewhere in 2017. For people who don't want to go to space, this is a point of contact they should have a choice no emails and then you find me only about events. Let’s say I want to have updates say once a week or once a month, on what is going on, and then we will send like in one email we'll have all planned events for the coming months and so on and so forth. Right now, the social will update you have a choice of preference how you want to get updates and newsletters for video sharing is not the Urgent need I would say. For this week I will start with this week newsletter but this is another topic.
 +

 +
:I plan to schedule it on the Meetup to discuss our new thing at 1 P.M tomorrow my time our normal time. okay. All right thank you very much.

Introduction

Hello everyone my name is Gary and we are in the office hour with Kevin discussing about the CNM social page specifically the video space that we are about to develop.

Talk CNMCyber: CNM Tube

We discussed that we want to create a specialty space for those interested in video streaming and sharing. I called it Video-Sharing user space. Let's make a Wiki page, unless it's already created, let us call it CNM Video-Sharing users, sounds good to me and we can rename it later when we have kind of a real name. Does it look right CNM videos sharing users okay looks good to me.
The idea is to have like a single point of contact for everyone so let's say I'm interested in video sharing right I want to see what is going on I want to be updated about the news I want to get notified where related events will show up, right? If we have a Technology meeting or a debate between different video-sharing software packages, this should be a single point of contact for everyone interested.
So, the CNM Video-Sharing User page should be like Updates on developments and should be Useful links, pretty much that's it, if you're interested in that, go there. There also should be event announcements. If 'm interested in video-sharing software, I probably want to get some updates either as newsletters or maybe I just can go there and view what is going on in this group and I also want kind of event announcements.

Proxmox Meeting with Natalia

I just talked to Natalia before this meeting and we thought, what do we do with our Proxmox?

Video Streaming and Sharing

We will keep Jitsi most likely, I had a discussion with Muhammed, he was for BigBlueButton but we used BigBlueButton before Jitsi and we didn't like it at that time but it was six years ago.
Jitsi is separate, Avideo and all others to be for video sharing Jitsi allows for streaming, and recording but doesn't allow storing and sharing. For video platforms, Jitsi will be a part of it whether OBS Studio should be a part of it or whether Avideo or something else is a question mark.

CNMCyber.com Space

This social space for video sharing it should be a point of contact with people who want to be our contractors or experts when we post it. We post as soon as we fix our Proxmox issue, it can take time but we will send all our updates, conduct meetings like the state of video sharing at CNM, post events, and have links to the scripts and so on and so forth.
From office hours I tried to convey today after our discussion, new requirements should be defined, it's not just for me to talk or how it should be but it's also the documentation to be updated.
Kevin: I remember when we were hiring a contractor for Media Wiki on Upwork and after the contract was issued, I couldn't view the progress being made, will this space solve this challenge?
Gary: Yes, absolutely, there are two different schools of thought, I’m not sure which one is the best.
The coordinator on our Tech project should have access to our Tech space on Gitlab and see all the details, credentials, all updates, kind of front-row seat view on this and then this coordinator should take red meat stuff take out all passwords, security credentials and non-public things and share with the community through the Social say we have this problem or we have this development. This will be a perfect world experience for the coordinator and I will be happy but Gitlab for now is probably too much we can use Social.
Kevin: How do you envision will the updates will be posted on Social from the contractor side?
Gary: Our discussion can occur on Social instead of Upwork or any other.
Taking an example of our Media Wiki, if we had like 15 Freelancers you communicated to them, they kind of go there but we don't have their contacts right, tomorrow we'll close this posting and they'll be lost either you need to write like all 15 right and this is your work time technically it's kind of someone's money too.
Kevin: For a close group, let's say we have several contractors who are interested in the same project, will they be able to view the conversation that we have with each contractor?
Gary: But this is good if they see what they say.
I understand money and security some credentials collect password logins and you cannot share them in the public space maybe names too, right? But possibly, in our closed space, we can say we will call this contractor this name Contractor A or Contractor B. In our email, we'll say thank you for your application we are in the process of reviewing let's say updates we will publish on our social space we abbreviated or we coded your name as …
Another disconnect we have this technology board meeting for instance and if you're interested in Jitsi or Tube streaming, maybe it's useful to hear what the discussion is.

Q&As

Kevin: How do you envision the layout of this page and the topics that will be discussed on the Social Space?
Gary: You need to do some research about the layout.
Kevin: Can you mention something about the newsletters that we are yet to develop on Social.
Gary: I’m not sure about sending using social, we can use social for distribution and it will be integrated to social yes.
I plan to schedule it on the Meetup to discuss our new thing at 1 P.M tomorrow my time our normal time. okay. All right thank you very much.
