The CNM Cyber Welcome Session (or, simply, welcome session) is a group of five short lessons designed to onboard potential customers and staff members of CNM Cyber Team and WorldOpp Fellow Staff to the CNM Cyber platform.

Lesson 1. What CNM Cert is

Welcome to the first lesson of the session. This lesson is published at CNM Cert, which is a learning management system. Generally speaking, those systems are designed to support formal education and one's learning.

Not every learning management system is the same and CNM Cert differs from many. For instance, some of learning management systems primarily deliver their learning content such as lectures or classes. But it is not the primary purpose of CNM Cert.

The word, Cert, in the system's name stands for certification. Primarily, CNM Cert hosts quizzes, examinations, and other assessments. Those assessments are used to plan your learning experiences and track your progress. In other words, CNM Cert is the primary tool for educational planning, monitoring, and controlling for its users.

For example, CNM Video is the video-sharing system of CNM Cyber. It hosts those videos that are used in the learning content delivery.

CNM Wiki is CNM Cyber's document collaboration system. There, learners may not only learn something, but also collaborate on new content creation.

Another content management system will be called CNM Page. It will look and feel more like a traditional website and is expected to be launched in 2020.

Lesson 3. What CNM Social is

CNM Social is an internal social networking system of CNM Cyber. This system allows for a social network of the system's users. Various communities of this system are called "spaces". Each "space" at CNM Social has its own announcement board, messaging, and private wiki.

Some spaces are open to everyone and you are welcome to join any of those in order to post your questions or share your experiences. If you don't know where to start, you can join the "Welcome space". You can also explore those spaces that are designed for those users who speak languages rather than English.
