What the Middleware Is (hereinafter, the Lectio) is the lesson part of the Soft CNM Cloud Uses lesson that introduces its participants to CNM Cloud. This lesson belongs to the Introduction to CNM Cloud session of the CNM Cyber Orientation.
Content
The successor predecessor lectio is What the Foundation Is.
Key terms
- WorldOpp Federated Servers. The computing server that hosts the software applications that WorldOpp Middleware powers. The CNM Next Servers is one of the CNM Cloud Foundation.
Script
- If we imagine that CNM apps are people and the CNM Cloud Foundation are a combination of their homes, we may treat WorldOpp Middleware as their municipal services such as mail delivery, local police, Internet broadband, public transportation, parking lots, etc.
- Most notably, the Middleware features its distributed database and user management system.
- The only exception is CNM Cabin, which, as a federated service, is powered by WorldOpp Middleware. WorldOpp Middleware include both end-user applications and those software applications that support other apps, not end-users. The Middleware is not commercial off-the-shelf (COTS). Its code is custom-written for CNM Cyber.
