What the Middleware Is
What the Middleware Is (hereinafter, the Lectio) is the lesson part of the Middleware Essentials lesson that introduces its participants to Opplet. This lesson belongs to the Introduction to CNM Cloud session of EmployableU Concepts.

Script
- If we imagine that CNM apps are people and the CNM Farms are a combination of their homes, we may treat WorldOpp Middleware as their mail delivery, local police, Internet broadband, public transportation, town hall, and other municipal services that are available for all the residents.
- WorldOpp Middleware's systems provide all CNM apps with federated services. These services particularly feature the distributed database management system (DDBMS) and user management system.
- The federated database stores most important data from different CNM apps, so it can be accessed in one place rather than in every CNM app. In our imaginary town, this DDBMS would combine the town secretary office and archives.
- Different systems of Opplet may utilize the user data of the Middleware. For instance, CNM Cert may take Middleware's data to track your progress outside of CNM Cert.
- The user management system handles all the authentications and authorizations. In our imaginary town, the user management system would combine two entities: (a) the ID-issuing authority and (b) ID policing reinforcement.
- The Middleware uses Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to communicate user data to the Cloud's apps. The core of the Middleware is custom-written specifically for Opplet.
- WorldOpp Middleware is called middleware because it is in the middle of Opplet. WorldOpp Middleware literally transforms various systems of CNMCyber, which otherwise would be standalone, into a united platform.
