COTS in CNM Cloud (hereinafter, the Lectio) is the lesson part of the Soft behind CNM Cloud lesson that introduces its participants to CNM Cloud. This lesson belongs to the Introduction to CNM Cloud session of the CNM Cyber Orientation.

- CNM Cloud utilizes only those commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions that are open-source.
- For instance, WorldOpp Foundation is built using Linux-alike operating systems. MariaDB and PostgresSQL are used in relational database management systems (relational database management systems); Apache Cassandra, a NoSQL database solution, is used in the federated database.
- WorldOpp Middleware uses OpenLDAP to communicate with CNM apps and Talend to do so with the federated database.
