A DNS zone is the part of the Domain Name System (DNS) that is managed by the Internet service provider (ISP) responsible for a particular domain name in the system and that defines the data associated with that domain name. This data is stored in DNS zones, which consists of DNS records, such as an A record or an AAAA record.
