The CNM Cyber Welcome Course Preview (hereinafter, the Lesson) is the first learning activity of the CNM Cyber Welcome Course. Currently, the Lesson is published at CNM Cert; however, the Lesson shall be also available at CNM Page when that content management system is available.


What Makes the Course

Preview beginning content

You are at the course that is designed to welcome you to CNM Cyber. Upon successful completion of this welcome course, you will be granted free-of-charge access to its services.
This course is made up of three learning activities. Availability of the successor activity depends on successful completion of the predecessor one. You cannot take the exam before your complete the preparation lesson and you cannot take the preparation lesson before you complete the course preview -- you are here.
The first two activities are both lessons. The preview lesson consists of 3 parts and exam preparation lesson consists of 12 parts. Every lesson part is followed by a one-question multiple-choice quiz. The preview lesson mimics the exam preparation one.
The entrance exam is the qualifying activity. Certain exam scores will grant either limited or full access to the services. If you are interested in either paid or volunteer work opportunities, you will be also given instructions for your next steps.
Plan on setting aside at least six hours to complete the entire course.

Why to Take the Course

Overview of Paths content

Paths of CNM Cyber Welcome Course graduates
Graduates from this welcome course are offered three paths. They are paid fellow, volunteer fellow, and non-committed to learning associate.
Those who are interested in paid employment, but lack employment credentials, will be offered to take the WorldOpp Orientation followed by WorldOpp Placement in order to join the WorldOpp Fellow Staff. The fellows may land apprentice jobs anywhere in this sequence. This path requires at least 20 hours a week commitment and takes 2-3 years to be competitive for well-paying jobs.
Currently, there is a $100 bonus payable to anyone who refers a participant of the paid path after this participants earns his or her first $100. The participant will receive his or her $100 bonus too; that would be payable upon graduation from WorldOpp Placement.
Those graduates who are interested in employment credentials, but cannot commit at least 20 hours a week and/or interested in the paid path, will be offered to take the CNM Cyber Orientation in order to become a volunteer for the CNM Cyber Team.
Both paid and volunteer paths require its participants to be active learners matriculated in specific programmes.
Those graduates who are not willing to commit to learning through CNM Cyber will be offered to: (a) utilize CNM Cyber for their career enhancement, if they need so, and/or (b) become a paid vendor for CNM Cyber's development or volunteer mentor for CNM Cyber's learners.

How to Pass the Course

Welcome-resources.pngIn order to graduate, you need to pass the entrance exam. This exam is published at CNM Cert and includes 6 multiple choice and 14 true/false questions. The number of attempts to pass the entrance exam is unlimited. You can review all the exam questions at CNM Wiki as well.
The course contains a few definitions. You can wait until they will be explained during the course or look up as you go. Complete contents of all the lesson parts, as well as all the exam questions, are published at CNM Wiki, which is one of CNM Cyber's services. CNM Video is another service that can be helpful; it publishes video versions of the lesson parts.
At CNM Cyber, your status will not changed if you fail the exam completely. If you don't fail, you will be granted access to CNM Cyber's services. If you neither pass nor fail, your access will be limited until you succeed to get a better grade.
There is no time limit to complete the course, but the current status of your account is temporary. Its lifetime cannot exceed 6 months. If you pass the entrance exam within that time, your account shall become permanent. It shall be closed, if not. By the way, the number of accounts you can open is unlimited.
