Work-Seller Competences (hereinafter, the Lectio) is the second lesson part of the Sought Competences lesson that introduces its participants to employee competences and related topics.

This lesson belongs to the Introduction to Employment session of the CNM Cyber Orientation. The Orientation is the second stage of the WorldOpp Pipeline.

Key terms

Work-related competence. Competence needed to perform productively in a particular occupation and, often, in a particular industry.
Administrative competence. Competence needed to undertake enterprise efforts conceptually, regardless of specific industry or occupation.

Script

Work-related competence refers to the competence that a work seller needs to handle job tasks in a particular occupation, industry, or position at expected levels of effectiveness and efficiency.
The whole competence can be related to one or more of three domains.
Occupation-required competence is the aggregate of knowledge, skills, and abilities required for a particular occupation.
Industry-related competence refers to the competence related to work in a particular industry.
The biggest domain, administrative competence is the aggregate of knowledge, skills, and abilities that is needed to undertake enterprise efforts conceptually, regardless of specific industry or occupation.
KSAs are frequently used to describe the sought competences and select those employment candidates who match employment vacancies best.
