The predecessor lectio is Software of CNM Cloud.
Key terms
- Internet. The largest network of interconnected computing devices that use the Internet protocol suite, TCP/IP, to link the devices globally.
- Mobile app (mobile application or, simply, an app) is an end-user application that is designed to run on a mobile device. Mobile apps often stand in contrast to web applications which run in mobile web browsers rather than directly on the mobile device. Mobile apps often refer those applications as web versions.
- World Wide Web (WWW, www). The part of the Internet that contains inter-linked hypertext documents, especially webpages, and web applications. The web resources are identified by Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) and accessible via the web browsers. The other parts of the Internet include email, VoIP telephony, and file exchange.
Script
- Until CNM Cyber's mobile app is developed, every user of CNM Cyber must use a web browser such as Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, or any other, to access this platform through its websites.
- In the World Wide Web, CNM Cyber is located at the CNMCyber.com hostname. Its landing page has been drafted, but not available yet. When it is launched, that page will help its visitors to navigate through various CNM Cyber services.
- Various systems of CNM Cyber are available at subdomains such as cabin.cnmcyber.com for CNM Cabin, cert.cnmcyber.com for CNM Cert, social.cnmcyber.com for CNM Social, tube.cnmcyber.com for CNM Tube, or wiki.cnmcyber.com for CNM Wiki.
- The CNM Next Apps, which are those versions of CNM apps that are installed on the CNM Next Servers, feature the
.next.
field added to their hostnames such as cert.next.cnmcyber.com and social.next.cnmcyber.com.
- Similarly, the CNM HandsOn Apps, which are those versions of CNM apps that are installed on the CNM HandsOn Servers, feature the
.handson.
field added to their hostnames such as tube.handson.cnmcyber.com and wiki.handson.cnmcyber.com.
- To display any webpage, one needs to type its URL into the address bar of web browser. The bar is always located on the top of the page. It is often confused with an input field of web search engine. If you cannot locate the bar, most likely, you use a mobile app.
- DNS stands for Domain Name System; it describes a system of hostnames, subdomains, etc. Similarly to whole CNM Cyber, its DNS is a living endeavor as well. For instance, CNM Cabin is temporarily located at opplet.net, not at its "right" subdomain.
CNM Cloud Domains is the successor lectio.
