Service configuration management practice (hereinafter, the Practice) is the practice to ensure that accurate and reliable information about the configuration of services, and the configuration items that support them, is available when and where needed. This Practice is a part of the ITIL practices.


Definitions

According to the ITIL Foundation 4e by Axelos,

Service configuration management practice. The practice of ensuring that accurate and reliable information about the configuration of services, and the configuration items that support them, is available when and where needed.
