Recruiters may use various recruiter resources, both internal and external.
If a recruiter or employing organization maintain internal databases of potential employment candidates, their staffing reserves may include pipeline candidates' data, résumés, or both. These resources are likely the default choice for searches at today's workplace. To maintain the reserves, employers may utilize enterprise-wide or standalone systems.
An ERP human resources module is a system for human resource management that is integrated into a larger enterprise management system. Normally, this module is built on enterprise resource planning software (ERP software) and features recruitment support.
Those standalone systems that accommodate recruitment are known as applicant tracking systems (ATS).
A few external resources can be used to search for potential candidates. They include databases of third-party recruiters and job-search websites such as LinkedIn and Glassdoor. The companies that offer these resources rarely charge those who are looking for employment, but charge recruiters for the access to their databases.
