- Gracie: After reading the wiki Pages on FriendsOfCNM.com, I came to the conclusion that FriendsOfCNM.com are the partners and the people who partner with CNM to help in providing some services that they might not be in one way or another be able to provide to theirs to their daily users or clients.
- Gary: Could you imagine you're right, based on common sense you're right but, historically it's not correct. Initially FriendsOfCNM.com we were called the tech training team and then because we did more and we wanted to capture people who left CNM so we started to calling ourselves FriendsOfCNM.com and then we switched to CNMCyber.com. So FriendsOfCNM.com is just like the name we used before, which this initiative was known for and instead of CNMCyber.com it was FriendsOfCNM.com. If you go to CNMCyber.com it says FriendsOfCNM.com is a former name of the Cyber maybe you missed that.

- I don't know what Kevin told you but whatever he told you I'm not sure that you are right and I will probably need to update the FriendsOfCNM.com page as well. See FriendsOfCNM.com was designed initially like CNMCyber.com whatever now is CNMCyber.com it used to be FriendsOfCNM.com and everything goes on that on that link.
- But what you said makes sense because if you think so someone else will think so and again it's not friends of CNMcyber just FriendsOfCNM. - What you had “member of the staff”, they are not really personas to use like employee. Doesn't make sense I don't know where leasing agency came from. I don't know what you mean Leasing. Do you mean like a Temporary Employment Agency? A Temporary Employment Agency will be employment let's put employer instead. What you wrote, I put in the agency for now but it's how I interpreted if I'm wrong you can correct it further.
- Instead of coordinator maybe let's say alumni those who graduate from the program. Imagine that tomorrow you find a normal job, because we give just like temporary and you want to stay in touch you will be in Latin, they call alumna for female and alumnus for male so you'll be alumna and the plural is alumni.
- I put like your wording in my wording but we kind of the goal is to combine both.
- I will also say also educational institution like high school okay and let's put kind of some training.
- Who else can be like a FriendsOfCNM.com? Donors, why not? I feel like we can advertise that we are a place where someone can donate. For instance, right now I have four laptops and I'm only using two so I can possibly donate to someone. Same as phones I have five smartphones and for me, they are outdated and I tried to sell one to trade in one that is fully working offered me $10 but if I have a chance to donate to someone in say Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia or another country and some can use it and work I will be happy to donate. So for instance if we say Gracie in Eldoret is transitioning from one job to another job and if you let's say cover her internet for $10 a month and she will report to you how she's doing why not? I feel like someone can donate so we can possibly do this.
- Also we used to have a page for how we want to make money because we need money for the program. Right now I'm paying from my pocket but that might not be sustainable in the long run, however, this page was created in Russian, so we can have a look and translate this page to English. so we discussed how we could make money and we thought about our own services, paid Services, organizations languages partners, short training offers, and alumni Business Services packages, okay here we go Donor services. corporate donors, private donors not probably much but what we can do
- I feel like this is a good Target audience. For these personas, we need to create the website, what we will offer them what we want from them. Let's say someone who wants to volunteer, where will this person go? What’s our plan for this person? We want this person to get the website and then what?
- Gracie: Are they volunteering their services?
- Gary: Exactly, we had several volunteers one of them his name was Michael he worked for IBM for more than 25 years and then he retired but he wanted to be involved in the technology so he wanted to be on our technology board and he was qualified he gave some insights. If you want to get into cyber security, he was an expert in cyber security so he wanted to take someone and help as a mentor to someone who is going to this field. But you're right, there can be many kinds of volunteers.
- For instance, let's assume I'm Michael, I worked for IBM for 25 years and retired, I want to stay in touch with technology I want to be a technology board member to participate in technology meetings maybe not every week let's say once a month kind of to stay in touch to discuss some technology. So, I saw your advertising I got to this FriendsOfCNM.com website, what do you want me to do? What do you want me to accomplish? where you will direct me to? Do you want me to take a course? Do you want me to email? What is your plan for me?
- You need to think about what you want to do for any Persona, if you want me to stay in touch you will create a form for me so I can fill it up and you will contact me.

- Gary: Could be, I don't know. I'm trying to discuss it with you. Let's say you want to build this website information architecture and we decided… FriendsOfCNM.com was completely another thing when I created and put it on the wiki it meant something completely different to me but when you said that FriendsOfCNM.com sounds like partners I said it makes sense. Why don’t we do this? we stated kind of categories who will possibly visit the website but the goal of Information Architecture is not just like to give the website, we want people to do something. If you go to any website let's take Microsoft, you see as soon as I got here, they also said save up like something buy Microsoft 365 so immediately on this page they want me to buy their subscription which I don't need and I will never buy but it is why they created this website and if I scroll they want me to buy Surface device, they want me to buy Xbox games, they want me to get Windows 11, they want me to shop for accessories they want me to get Up to $150 of select Surface Laptop, they want me to Power your dream and if I click here they also they want me to pre-order. I'm saying this because you need to create what you want from the visitors of the website.
- We need to develop what the volunteers who want to give their time or employer or like the alumni. What will they get? Will get kind of certificate or some newsletters? You need to create a journey for them.
- Gary: Does it make sense?
- Gracie: Yes, I think I've gotten something. So FriendsOfCNM.com it will also be a website on its own or will it be a link from CNMCyber and then you have FriendsOfCNM.com the part of partnering?
- Gary: When we talk about information architecture (IA), it can be little IA meaning like the website IA or Enterprise IA. We started talking about website IA and what you said right now it's more of enterprise IA. So how do we want to direct our customers? For instance CNMCyber.com when you joined the program was supposed to be a place for career services, and now I redefined that it will be only for introductory jobs nothing else. FriendsOfCNM.com It's our enterprise decision how we want to make it. Do we want to send people from CNMCyber who are friends to FriendsOfCNM.com website or do we create a separate experience? So let's say FriendsOfCNM.com people will stay onFriendsOfCNM.com but at the same time we want another Persona who we are missing, right now it is a potential introductory job Seeker who should be sent to CNMCyber.com but we definitely want someone who found this FriendsOfCNM.com on the web and wants to have this introductory job, we want to send these people to CNMCyber.com. So, FriendsOfCNM.com should have something that says “Are you looking for an introductory job? go to CNMCyber.com. So, yeah there should be a link, you are correct.
- There is no decision right now how we should structure it. We should have FriendsOfCNM.com and we definitely want to send people from FriendsOfCNM.com to CNMCyber.com, like the right people who are looking for introductory jobs, not all people.
- This is the question of whether we want to send people from CNMCyber.com to FriendsOfCNM.com, I have no opinion at the moment. We need to discuss and we may need to decide.
