WorldOpp designation
WorldOpp designation is the action of choosing a country or place for launching the WorldOpp programme.
Roadmap
In any country, there are specific policy guidelines on how projects are run and the roadmap below must be adhered to for purposes of avoiding conflict with the national and/or local governments.
- Develop a specific website, which shall outline the roadmap below.
- Conduct meetings with community stakeholders (government officers, local leaders representing not-for-profits, civil society organizations, target groups of people) in the target country in order to collect data on how best the WorldOpp programme can be run. This will post public participation as enshrined in Kenyan Laws. At the same time this shall promote project ownership by the local people and open up the WorldOpp operations.
- Choose an entry point. This point can be either through an existing organization or not-for-profit to avoid a lot of legal processes that might take too long to achieve the planned interventions.
- Choose a starting point. At this level, a local office with professional staff can be established in order to reach out to the community with WorldOpp mission, vision, objectives and operations. A specific region such as Kisii County, which is one of the forty seven counties in Kenya, can be selected to pilot the project and, after this piloting, the project can be rolled out to other counties to reach the target audiences. This process would create a foundation of the project in a local country for effective planning on how to open up new offices if the project expands.
- Survey the pilot in the starting point to develop a framework for further implementations.
