Employee Qualifications (hereinafter, the Lectio) is the second lesson part of the Employment Credentials lesson that introduces its participants to employment credentials and related topics.

Script

An employment credential is a qualification, achievement, personal quality, or aspect of a person's background used to indicate that this person is suitable for particular employment. The same term may refer to a document that ascertains the qualifications, achievements, personal qualities, or aspects that were mentioned before.
With regard to their source, the credentials can be divided in three groups.
First of all, employment candidates may declare that they have some credentials. Self-declared credentials either haven't been verified yet or cannot be verified.
The candidates may also submit their work samples, which are work product of one's performance intended to show his or her capacity. Some of these samples may be verified; some may not.
Secondly, the employing organization may award the credential to the candidate. This credential may be earned during source screening, for instance, one's work sample test or job interview. The credentials that have been earned in the interviews are called earned-in-interview credentials.
The third source are third parties. They can be classified as third-party credentials.
