Any WorldOpp joint venture (alternatively known as WorldOpp JV or WOJV; hereinafter, WOJV) is a joint venture created by two parties, one of which is Friends Of CNM. Any WOJV is characterized by shared ownership, shared returns and risks, and shared governance.


Purpose

WOJV can be created because of one or more reasons as follows:

  1. To access a new market, particularly emerging markets.
  2. To gain scale efficiencies by combining assets and operations.
  3. To share risk for major investments or projects.
  4. To access each other's competencies.
