CNMCyber This Week (hereinafter, the Series) is the series of CNM Cyber events that CNM Cyber Coordinators organize on a weekly basis to exchange ideas, to present new developments and plans, as well as to market their work.

CNMCyber Team organized by one or more CNM Cyber event hosts (hereinafter, the Host) in order to:

  1. Discuss the work of CNMCyber Team over the past week to contribute to the development of the CNM Cloud Project, CNM Cyber services and staff of the CNM Cyber;
  2. Get updates on CNM Cyber development firsthand.

The Event can also be used to attract people's interest in the project who can become buyers of CNM Cyber services later. Unless the Event is Invitation-only, the CNM Cyber Meetup group and CNM Social group serve as primary Communication channels (hereinafter, the Channels).

Development of the Event occurs under the CNM Cyber This Week project.

Product specification

The Product specifications are:

Purpose

The purpose of the Event is to:

  1. recruitment of new coordinators;
  2. improve the work of CNMCyber Team especially the coordinators.

Participants

Participants of the Event are сurrent CNMCyber Team and curious people or potential coord who came from meetup group. By default, the Host is a confirmed participant of any Event. Personally, the Host may identify, contact, and confirm those participants that would be specially invited to the Event.

Enterprise factors

Main wikipage: CNM Cyber event

Participants' needs

Any participant (potential and/or actual CNMCyber Team worker, CNM Cyber event host, etc.) needs to be able to:
  1. Know when the Events occur and how he or she can participate in those;
  2. Be introduced to as much information as possible prior to the Event the interested individual decides to participate in;
  3. Ask qualified questions and get answers first-hand;
  4. Review minutes and other documents if the interested individual misses the Event.

CNM Cyber Coordinator needs

Any CNM Cyber Coordinator needs to be able to:
  1. Present their report and discuss any issues related to your own and other people's reports;
  2. Obtain available details about the current state of projects;
  3. Discuss any problems and administrative issues on projects;
  4. Contribute to solutions for those projects that have been discussed.

The potential Coordinator needs

The potential Coordinator needs to be able to:
  1. Understand what CNM Cyber is and what we can offer.
  2. See how the team operates and ask questions first-hand.

Standing operating procedures

To organize the event before it starts, you need to:
  1. Find this and CNM Cyber This Week pages;
  2. Open a Meetup group https://www.meetup.com/techdc/ and create the event at least one week in advance (you also should get the group administrator rights). Later, you can copy meetings and change small details and the date.
    1. title (required): CNM Cyber This Week;
    2. date and time: time details;
    3. duration: online events are one hour long;
    4. featured photo: it can be CNM Cyber logo and other logos as well as photos from previous events (if they were offline);
    5. description: it should include meeting details and an agenda, for example: description. You also should add the specific details to be discussed at this particular meeting for each event;
    6. topics: you can pick up to 5 topics. Topics describe what your Meetup event is about in a word or two. They also help show our event to members with matching interests. Select a relevant, but wide range of topics that describe our event. For example: Career Networks, Job Search, Reporting, Recruiting & Hiring, Project Management;
    7. location: make this an online event and add the link;
    8. allow guests: the number is to be decided, but it's allowed.
  3. Add the information about the event to the CNM Social groups https://social.cnmcyber.com/index.php?r=space%2Fspace%2Fhome&cguid=ab3c9485-b0cb-4d0a-9f09-457833683fb5 and https://social.cnmcyber.com/index.php?r=space%2Fspace&cguid=dc402f95-fbb6-49d9-802c-54784afe0d33;
  4. Create the meeting on CNM Jitsi. URL should look like is jitsi.cnmcyber.com/week-[2-digit-year]-[2-digit-month]-[2-digit-day]] such as jitsi.cnmcyber.com/week-2-8 and add this to the event on Meetup. There may be problems with CNM Jitsi, so you should have more than 1 alternative video conferencing platform, preferably one internal and one external such as Zoom or Google meet;
  5. Create the page of this meeting on wiki. It should look like this: CNMCyber Week 2023-03-01. It includes a short description of the meeting subject and brief coordinator's reports and as well as links to predecessor and successor events, and to Category:CNMCyber This Week;
  6. Invite other coordinators to join the meeting and give them a link to the page of this meeting (where they can write down their brief reports);
  7. Prepare the report about your work last week: CNM Cyber Coordinator needs.
During the meeting you need to:
  1. Be not only a participant but also the host of the event, it include:
    1. welcome participants;
    2. let participants know that the meeting is being recorded;
    3. familiarize participants with the sample schedule;
    4. introduce participants;
    5. announce the current sections of the meeting;
    6. close the meeting;
  2. Record of the meeting. You can use this function in CNM Jitsi, Zoom, or Google meet and have at least 2 alternative programs to record just in case such as Xbox Game Bar or Icecream Screen Recorder;
  3. Present your report.
After the meeting, you need to:
  1. Publish the recording on our CNM Cyber YouTube channel and on CNM AVideo. You also should write a description of the video: when you write a description for YouTube, you shouldn't add links to Wiki and to Meetup, but you can add it on AVideo;
  2. Share this video on the page of this meeting on wiki;
  3. Edit this and CNMCyber This Week pages.

Security

For security, we use Fail2ban because it operates by monitoring log files (e.g. /var/log/auth.log, /var/log/apache/access.log, etc.) for selected entries and running scripts based on them. Most commonly this is used to block selected IP addresses that may belong to hosts that are trying to breach the system's security. It can ban any host IP address that makes too many login attempts or performs any other unwanted action within a time frame defined by the administrator. Includes support for both IPv4 and IPv6.
Calls use the P2P mode, which is end-to-end encrypted via DTLS-SRTP between the two participants for encrypted communication (secure communication). Group calls also use DTLS-SRTP encryption, but rely on the Jitsi Videobridge (JVB) as video router, where packets are decrypted temporarily. All data is transmitted only through our server, and comprehensive TLS encryption provides protection against interception and unauthorized eavesdropping.

Malware protection

Previously, CNM Cloud developers struggled with the viruses, so an effective anti-virus strategy must be found -- what was the solution?

User group

The Meetup group https://www.meetup.com/techdc/ and the user groups at CNM Social https://social.cnmcyber.com/index.php?r=space%2Fspace%2Fhome&cguid=ab3c9485-b0cb-4d0a-9f09-457833683fb5 and https://social.cnmcyber.com/index.php?r=space%2Fspace&cguid=dc402f95-fbb6-49d9-802c-54784afe0d33 publishes all the announcement and notifications for online Events.
