New Tech at Cloud (hereinafter, the Lectio) is the lesson part of the Cloud Next Essentials lesson that introduces its participants to Opplet. This lesson belongs to the CNMC for Experience session of EmployableU Concepts.
Content
The predecessor lectio is What Cloud Next Is.
Script
- CNM Lab Farm is the space of Opplet that is dedicated to experiments. These experiments include testing and development of emerging technologies and techniques.
- CNMCyber Team is working on moving CNM Farms to a hybrid cloud.
- New artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and machine learning solutions are being explored to be used in WorldOpp Middleware. The Middleware itself may soon be transferred to the microservice architecture (or, simply, microservices).
- CNM trial apps represent a diversity of end-user applications available on the market either to improve existing or add new CNM named apps.
- With regard to existing apps, every CNM named app shall be updated to its latest version. When a competitive commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution emerges on the market, the Team would consider switching to it.
- The Team also may consider extending its suites with new apps. For instance, an office suite may be added to the CNM Action Suite in some future. An integrated development environment (IDE) such as Eclipse IDE can be added to CNM Lab and so on.
- Before deploying a new CNM named app, the software is deployed at CNM Lab Farm as a CNM trial app to be tested. The testing results contribute to the decision to deploy or not.
