What CNM Lab Is (hereinafter, the Lectio) is the lesson part of the CNM Lab Essentials lesson that introduces its participants to CNM Lab. This lesson belongs to the CNM Cyber for Experience session of the CNM Cyber Orientation.

Key terms
- CNM Lab. The combination of project management, version control, and file-sharing systems of CNM Cyber that is delivered to its end-users as a service.
- Source code. According to the Linux Information Project, "the version of software as it is originally written (i.e., typed into a computer) by a human in plain text (i.e., human readable alphanumeric characters)." This code commonly include comments and is specially designed to facilitate the work of computer programmers, who specify the actions to be performed by a computer to indicate their intentions.
- Web document. A document that defines another document to target software applications. Web documents are widely used in the Internet. For instance, web browsers use web documents to display webpages to their end-users. Search engine robots use web documents to collect data about those webpages. Those contemporary email clients that are mobile apps use web documents to display emails without web browsers. To those end-user applications that are used to view documents of various formats, web documents may represent documents in the PDF format, graphic elements of image files, etc.

- CNM Lab is the development hub where those requirements that are created at CNM Wiki become functional marketables. On another hand, CNM Cyber delivers CNM Lab to those developers who work on CNM Cloud. Those developers who work on CNM Cloud deliver their works to CNM Cyber at CNM Lab.
- CNM Lab is the point of official contacts between the CNM Cyber Team, Friends Of CNM, and Careerprise contrators. The communication within the service is fully traceable.
- When the contractor is awarded a contract, he or she gets access to his or her new project at CNM Lab. This developer can see all the details of the previous developments, as well as its security specifics. The same project is used to submit new increments. If the contract assumes recording developer's time, CNM Lab is used for that as well.
- Within CNM Cyber, CNM Lab stores the most security-sensitive technical accounts. Protecting user data at CNM Cabin is very important. While protecting CNM Lab, the CNM Cyber Team protects CNM Cabin and all the other CNM Cyber services.
- CNM Lab contains every detail of CNM Cloud's architecture and all its private keys that can be used to access CNM Cloud's core.
- Cyber criminals can use those details and keys in order to attack CNM Cyber. CNM Lab has to be highly cyber-secure in order to provide CNM Cyber with cyber-security.
Systems of Lab is the successor lectio.
