The CNM Cyber Welcome Course (or, simply, Welcome Course; formerly known as CNM Cyber Welcome Session; hereinafter, the Course) is a set of learning activities designed to onboard potential customers to the CNM Cyber's managed learning environment. The Course serves as the prerequisite to both the CNM Cyber Team and WorldOpp Fellow Staff designed to onboard its future staff members.

Currently, the Course is published at CNM Cert; however, its first activity shall be also available at CNM Page when that content management system is available. The Course offering is a vital part of WorldOpp Sourcing.

Curriculum

Activities

The Course is made up of three mandatory and one optional learning activities:

1. Preview lesson, which consists of three parts,
2. Preparation lesson, which is the second learning activity of the Course. The Lesson consists of twelve parts; it is following a preview lesson and is followed by the CNM Cyber Entrance Exam, and
3. Entrance exam, which consists of twenty questions.

One optional activity, the Next Step Q&As forum, is available for those learners who successfully completed the mandatory Course activities.

	What CNM Lab Is	7	CNM Lab, development hub that CNM Cyber brings those developers who work on CNM Cyber's software as a service. This service is provided through three systems, which are project management, version control, and file-sharing ones. CNM Lab's file-sharing system contains all the web documents, source code and other files that have been used in CNM Cyber's development. CNM Lab's version control system allows for the management of all the changes to every of them. CNM Lab's project management system is in the heard of this service. CNM Lab treats every development as a project. For instance, only those developers who actively work on CNM Cert's development can assign, re-assign, or report on the project tasks, as well as can access, modify, and update its private details and get the update notifications. The project's private details are published by the secure wiki engine that is embedded in this project management system. Its wikipages are tighten with projects, so a particular project team can collaborate on the content for its project. CNM Cyber features several wiki engines and all of them play different roles. CNM Cert's wikipages are useful in setting up those learning activities that involve learners' collaboration. CNM Social provides its communities with their wikipages, so those communities can collaborate on community documents. Wikipages of both CNM Lab and CNM Wiki are involved in CNM Cyber's development. CNM Lab vs CNM Wiki CNM Cyber also features two development hubs, CNM Lab and CNM Wiki, and they play different roles as well. CNM Wiki is completely open to the public. Everyone can see that 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Even pre-entry-level developers can see the development process. On the contrary, CNM Lab is fully secured. Only administrators of CNM Cyber can manually grant access to CNM Lab for CNM Cyber users; it is not granted automatically. CNM Lab is private since it stores security-sensitive information, which cyber criminals can use to attack CNM Cyber. CNM Lab has to be cyber-secure in order to provide CNM Cyber with cyber-security. CNM Wiki is used to collaborate on development of documents. CNM Lab deals with software development. CNM Lab' version control system is dedicated and its software repository can contain not only image files, but any type of single files and even software development projects.

Entrance Exam	The certification quiz consists of 20 multiple-choice and true/false questions; the number of attempts is unlimited; the feedback is minimal.
Next Steps Forum	This activity is optional; that means one can graduate without it. That activity is more like a bonus -- those who achieved a particular score can ask direct questions about next steps. This is the only part of the Course, which materials haven't been developed at CNM Wiki prior to moving to CNM Cert.

Goals

Goals of the Course are:

1. To provide the participants with preview to CNM Cyber and its services; and
2. If the participants are interested in volunteer or employment opportunities, to guide the Aspirants in their further steps.

Educational objectives

For every participant, educational objectives are providing introductory knowledge about CNM Cyber and its services. At the end of the Course, those participants who have decided to use those services, shall be able to use them and navigate through them.

The major outcomes that this Course seeks to find are to:

1. Gain commitment of the Aspirants;
2. Reduce anxiety of the Aspirants;
3. Help the Aspirants understand CNM Cyber and its services.
